Our chiropractors use a holistic approach that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a range of musculoskeletal conditions. Whilst more commonly chiropractic care is associated with the spine, it actually covers aches and pains within the entirety of the body.β
Chiropractors will look at how the spine in functioning as a whole. Whilst curvatures within the spine are normal, if they are too small or big it will change how the spine works and therefore cause pain in places such as the spinal joints or provide excessive wear and tear in discs. This can also be affected by poor posture which our practitioners can look at.
If rehabilitation is required or recommended as part of your treatment plan with your chiropractor, the practitioner will go back to basics with you, using a technique called DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization). This is based on how babies move, so we rehabilitate you back to how you instinctively hold yourself.
Soft tissue massage is a technique we use that mobilises the bodyβs soft tissues. The technique can be used on the tendons, ligaments, muscles, fascia, and connective tissue around the joints. Using this technique will relieve muscle tension and increase joint mobility helping you to live a more pain-free life.
Muscle Energy Techniques (also known as MET) is a type of massage therapy that chiropractors use to strengthen and improve the muscles. MET is typically used to provide pain relief for the following problems:
Reduced movement in the neck, back and shoulders
Sciatica
Scoliosis
Contractures
Leg length discrepancy
Muscle injury
Muscle tightness
Dry needling is a technique which involves inserting a fine filament needle into the muscle fibres which act as a trigger point for the pain the client is experiencing. The aim of using dry needling is to cause a local twitch response which will relieve muscular tension and pain.
Using a range of exercises and repetitive movements, joint articulation and manipulation will allow your joints to move more freely which will relieve the pain youβre experiencing.

I have been going to the Body Consultancy now for many years each time I have a need. Mark Caudle is an exceptional Chiropractor that I swear by. His focus is always on the best interests of his patient. He has a great team and in particular, the dedication, patience and commitment to resolving a particular issue by Mark and Nicola during an intensive few weeks of rehab have been fantastic and very much appreciated. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Rita
No hesitation in recommending the two types of treatment I have received – osteopathy and chiropractic. My issues were listened to and treated carefully resulting in much-appreciated pain relief.
We believe in working with the whole person β not just the painful area. So weβll spend time really understanding not only your current symptoms but your daily activities, interests, experiences and goals.
Weβll advise you on what needs to change in the way you, move and hold yourself so that your problem doesnβt re-occur. Weβll help you build new habits to support your continued progress to full mobility and movement.
Β This ongoing phase is usually especially important for conditions we refer to as chronic (over 6 months), sub-acute (over 3 months) or acute (last few weeks) with significant re-occurring previous episodes.
Once you have met one of our chiropractors for your complimentary consultation, examination and initial treatment, we will provide you with a bespoke plan based on your requirements, needs and goals.
