Claire Taylor

Claire qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of East London in 2008 and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She has always been fascinated with how the body works which is what sparked her interest in physiotherapy. Claire worked in a variety of roles before starting her degree – including an accounts assistant, a secretary, a healthcare assistant and even a dental nurse! It was the caring roles she loved the most and that’s what cemented her choice to become a physiotherapist.

Since qualifying Claire has worked in the NHS. She initially worked as a rotational physiotherapist working in intensive care, on a stroke unit, on medical wards, in orthopaedics and in an inpatient intensive rehabilitation unit. Claire then specialised in mental health which really grounded in her the huge importance of wellbeing and the impact this has on all aspects of our lives. Since 2013 she has been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist where she is passionate about promoting a patient centred approach, and is highly motivated in helping patients to achieve their personal rehabilitation goals. Claire enjoys treating all musculoskeletal problems but has a particular interest in neck pain. She also has a keen interest in balance rehabilitation.

Outside of work Claire loves spending time with her family – walks, day trips, baking. Anything adrenaline fuelled is always welcome, she enjoys anything from rollercoasters to going on the world’s fastest zip line!
